After three and a half months with no location data, and only a week after writing her tribute, we were thrilled to receive three new fixes from Gloria on April 9th. Instantly, we could see she had similar taste to Marcelina for the recently flooded channel country. She was about 100 km north of Birdsville in western QLD, near Lake Koolivoo. It was 1134 kilometres from her spring home at Balranald where we caught her on October 22, 2023. We’ve continued to get more fixes into early May around the same area on Glengyle Station. Now, we are eagerly awaiting more data, especially to see if she has headed further north like Marcelina. It’s captivating stuff.
